Inter Milan winger Amantino Mancini has ruled out Zlatan Ibrahimovic's implications that he singlehandedly lifted the Nerazzurri in recent years. Barcelona ace Ibrahimovic said that after he moved to San Siro from Juventus in 2006, Inter ended a 17-year title-drought during his reign. But the Swedish forward's claims were not welcomed by former Inter mate Mancini. "He has done important things with us and won three Scudetti but his remarks struck me as a bit provocative and exaggerated," Mancini told Corriere dello Sport. "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion and we need to respect that but it's not like he says. Inter have existed for 100 years and had won trophies before his arrival." Ibra will face his former club when Barca clash with Inter in the UEFA Champions League opener next week. Inter Future Mancini, who had a poor last season with Jose Mourinho's side, is hoping for better spell with Inter, stressing that ex-club Roma have made a move for him. "I spoke to Mourinho and he told me he didn't want me to leave. But someone from Roma did approach my agent during the last days of the transfer window," the Brazilian added. "I now hope to have a different season than last year. I am eager to prove a point and go back to being the Mancini you all know. It's the beginning of a new life for me."
