Inter Milan have confirmed the purchase of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the recently demoted Juventus for a fee of 24.8 million Euros ($31.95 million) on Thursday. "Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been sold to Inter for a consideration of €24.8 million," Inter said in a statement on the official web site. Inter signed the striker to a four year contract after the Swede had made it public he would not stay at the relegated Juventus. In spite of statements that the club would not sell anymore players, Ibrahimovic's refusal to show up for a recent friendly prompted the Bianconeri to offload him.
He joins Juve teammate Vieira at Inter The disgraced Serie A winners have seen a huge exodus of players in the past weeks, after having been found guilty of match-fixing, and being stripped of the two previous championship titles. Ibrahimovic will join former teammate Patrick Vieira at Inter Milan, Vieira moved to the club last week. Juventus have already lost captain Fabio Cannavaro, Brazilian midfielder Emerson, and defenders Gianluca Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram.
