Anderlecht midfielder Ahmed Hassan is doubtful for his side's UEFA Champions League clash against AEK Athens after sustaining a shoulder injury in a league game. The Egypt skipper was carried off the pitch in the 69th minute of Anderlecht's 1-1 draw with Charleroi in the Belgian League on Friday. Hassan will undergo a medical examination later on Saturday to know the full extent of the injury. The former Besiktas midfielder is a major doubt for the Belgians second UCL group stage clash against Greek side AEK Athens on Tuesday. Anderlecht are on top of the league table with 17 points, three ahead of second-placed Racing Genk, who will face Beveren on Saturday. Hassan has scored two goals so far since his arrival at Anderlecht in the off-season.
