Guinea midfielder Ousmane Bangoura has lost vision in his right eye after an unsuccessful operation to save his sight in China. Bangoura ruptured his eye earlier this month while playing for Shenyang Ginde in the Chinese Super League and after a failed operation in Shenyang, doctors in Beijing were able to save the player's eye but not his vision. The player's family is reportedly ready to file a suit against Lu Gang, the player who was involved in the tackle that damaged Bangoura's eye, however the Chinese player expressed his regret at Bangoura's injury. "I'd like to say sorry to him million times," Gang was quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "I dare not ask him to forgive me because I can't forgive myself in the first place, but I want to do something to redeem myself." Gang added. Gang said that he wants to organize a charity game for Bangoura's benefit as well as compensating the Guinean. Bangoura has been playing his trade with Shenyang since last February after the 26-year-old helped his country to reach the African Cup of Nations second round in January.
