Published in FilGoal on 30 - 01 - 2006

African Cup of Nations surprise package Guinea produced a 3-0 drubbing of title holders Tunisia on Monday to clinch their Group C summit.
Ousmane Bangoura opened the scored for the Guineans in the first-half before substitute Pascal Feindouno and Kaba Diawara completed the rout after the break.
Tunisia finished the match with 10-men after defender Issam Merdassi was sent off for a second bookable offense in the 83rd minute.
The win means that Guinea finished the first round as Group C winners with a perfect 9 points from three matches to qualify along second-placed Tunisia who have 6 points.
Tunisia coach Roger Lemerre rested several key-players including goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel, Hatem Trabelsi, Slim Benachour and Francileudo dos Santos.
Guinea grabbed the lead as early as the 15th minute when Ibrahima Yattara fed Bangoura who beat goalkeeper Hamdi Kasraoui with a brilliant strike.

South Africa coach Dumitru
The Tunisians dominated the game but without serious threat on the Guinean goal.
In the 70th minute, Feindouno surged uncontested towards the Tunisian goal and chipped the ball past the advancing Kasraoui to register Guinea's second goal.
Tunisia's wounds were compounded when Feindouno raced down the right flank and sent a deft cross to Diawara who headed home Guinea's third.
Elsewhere, Chris Katongo headed a 75th minute goal to give Zambia a 1-0 win over South Africa.
The result put Zambia in third place on 3 points and South Africa in last spot with no points.
