Argentina star Javier Saviola's agent Alfredo Cabrera Brizuela revealed that Arsenal have inquired about the availability of the Barcelona striker for next season. "There is interest from Arsenal. Also various other clubs from places such as Portugal and Spain have enquired," Brizuela told Radio Barcelona on Tuesday. Saviola had revealed that he wanted to move out of Barcelona who had also announced that they wanted to let him go given that he isn't in head coach Frank Rijkaard's plans for next season. "He wants to stay in Spain, but we shall see what happens. We prefer to wait until after the World Cup before we talk publicly," Brizuela said. "Like me, Txiki Begiristain has been receiving offers from clubs, but we want to wait, for now, I am just fielding calls," he added. Saviola started to slip down in the European champions' pecking order after the arrival of Samuel Eto'o before moving to French club Monaco on loan for a season. He moved once more to Sevilla on loan and helped them win the UEFA Cup last season. Saviola, who played a pivotal role in Argentina's qualification to the World Cup's second round, still has a year left on his contract with Barcelona.
