Argentine striker Javier Saviola confirmed that he was approached by Sevilla for a long-term deal and said that he doesn't want to return to his original club, Barcelona. "There are negotiations with Sevilla, but nothing is sure yet. I clearly expressed my will to make a permanent move with the club, but there will be lots of issues to discuss apart from my fee," Spanish magazine Marca quoted Saviola as saying on Tuesday. The 25-year-old international, who moved to Sevilla on a one-year loan from Barcelona, scored three goals for this season, during which he missed a host of important matches through a serious Thyroid problem. "Sevilla understand my medical condition and continue to support me, unlike what happened in Barcelona," Saviola said. Saviola also hoped that he would regain his form before Argentina's World Cup campaign kick-off in June and said that he needed to reserve a permanent spot in Sevilla's squad to help him jump back into shape. Asked about the reason he hasn't been called up lately to feature in La Liga matches, Saviola said: "It's entirely up to the coaching staff, they could field me or they could choose Fredric Kanoute. I'm ready physically, but in the end it's not my decision."
