Newcastle eye Real Madrid's Saviola

Newcastle are interested in signing Real Madrid's striker Javier Saviola, claimed reports in the Spanish and English press on Tuesday.
The News of the World said that Magpies' coach Kevin Keegan wants to strengthen his front line especially that Michael Owen and Mark Viduka have been struggling with injuries.
On the other hand the 26-year old striker is keen to secure regular football as he made only nine appearances for the Merengues since joining them last summer on a free-transfer from Barcelona.
Marca revealed that Saviola has asked Real directors to let him go to achieve his goal and get a new challenge in the Premier League.
The former Barcelona, Monaco and Sevilla striker has inked a four-year deal with Real Madrid last summer until 2011.
