Brazilian striker Ronaldo has skipped the team's training on Thursday due to illness, the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) announced in a statement on their official website. The 29-year-old forward has just recovered from blisters in both his feet that forced him to leave the pitch at half-time in Brazil's 4-0 victory over New Zealand last Saturday. “Ronaldo woke up today with a fever, so he didn't train with the team and is currently receiving medications,” the statement said. The 2002 World Cup top-scorer, will be looking to make up for his tough season at Real Madrid as the club failed to win a trophy for the third successive year. Ronaldo is expected to be fully fit for the team's inaugural World Cup game against Croatia on June 13th.
