The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) allowed Real Madrid winger Robinho to play for the Spanish side in their crucial Primera Liga clash against Mallorca on Sunday. The Brazilian international should have joined his national side's training camp this week in preparation for the Copa America, but he stayed in Madrid to help Los Blancos in their Primera Liga tile bid. However, the Spanish side apologized for keeping Robinho, and the CBF will allow him to stay. "The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has released Robinho and Marcelo (who has been selected for the under-20 team) and they will report after Real Madrid's game on June 17," said the CBF in a statement. "Real Madrid have recognized the rights of the confederation, backed by FIFA legislation, to call up the players and also the trouble they have caused the national team." Real will face mid-table Mallorca, knowing that a win is enough to hand them the title for the first time in four years. The CBF has also agreed to allow defender Daniel Alves to play for Sevilla in their final game of the season against Villarreal.
