Patrick Vieira voiced his optimism over France's chances of winning the World Cup stressing that they are in better condition than they were in 2002. "We're not the favorites, that's Brazil, but we're strong outsiders with the team we have," Sky Sports Network quoted Vieira as saying on Tuesday. "Physically we're much better than we were before the 2002 World Cup, and tactically things are starting to fall into place." The Juventus midfielder said a solid defense would be the key to World Cup success. "To go far the first thing to do is not to concede goals. We must do that bearing in mind that we have gifted players up front who can decide a match at any time," he said. France play in Group G that also includes Togo, Switzerland and South Korea.
