Ismailia – Yasser El-Sherif: Ismaili announced that they extended the contracts of team stars Mohamed Hommos, Sayed Moawad and Mohamed Gouda for another four years. “We are aiming, through extending the players' contracts, to reinforce stability throughout the entire club and to guarantee the club and players' rights,” Ismaili president Yehia Al-Koumi told a press conference in the club headquarters on Saturday. Neither party disclosed the extension fee for the players whose contracts are due to expire this summer. “I hoped we could extend for Ahmed Fathi along with the others, but he insisted that he doesn't want to sign any contracts now, even though we added an article in his contract that would allow him to play professionally elsewhere,” Al-Koumi added. On the other hand, Fathi asked the club fans to give him until January before making up his mind, but insisted that he wouldn't play in Egypt except for Ismaili. “Give me a chance until January, and if I didn't play professionally outside of Egypt, I'll renew my contract with Ismaili,” Fathi said. Earlier reports had indicated that Fathi signed for Ahli and was moving to the Egyptian champions after his contract expired, a matter that was played down from the Ismaili board.
