Egypt were forced to make a last-minute change to their African Cup of Nations (ACN) squad after midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou failed to recover from injury. The Strasbourg player will be replaced by Zamalek midfielder Moetaz-Bellah Mohamed “Eno”. The prominent midfielder strained a muscle during a Ligue 1 match against Marseille last month but failed to recover. The 21-year-old midfielder was ruled out from the squad early on Friday and Egypt drafted Eno early after paying a $500 fine for making an injury-forced change to their African squad. “I'm very excited about this surprise call up to the national team,” Eno told Filgoal.com exclusively on Friday. “I hope I get a chance to prove myself by actually playing in the African Cup, but I have to admit I'm saddened by Hosni's injury,” Eno said. This is the second injury-forced change Egypt had to make prior to the tournament after Ahli striker Osama Hosni was replaced with Enppi midfielder Samir Sabri. Egypt kick-off their African campaign by facing Libya in the opening game on Friday.
