Strasbourg midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou's participation in Egypt's campaign for the African Cup of Nations (ACN) is in doubt after straining his thigh muscles in the team training on Monday. Abd-Rabou's injury started a wide-spread panic between the coaching staff members for fear that the Egypt star wont be able to join his teammates in their crucial campaign. Egypt doctor Ahmed Maged transported Abd-Rabou to the nearest hospital where he is expected to undergo a full medical check in addition to the usual scans and check-ups. Abd-Rabou's absence would mean that the coaching staff will have to change the squad's final line-up for the second-time, after replacing Osama Hosni, who picked up an injury, with Enppi midfielder Samir Sabri.
