Algeria have booked their place in the 2014 World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso in the final qualifying playoffs . A scruffy goal by captain Madjid Bougherra was crucial enough to lift the Desert Foxes, who win on the away goal rule after making it 3-3 on aggregate. Algeria will once again be the only Arab nation in the World Cup, having qualified at the expense of Egypt four years ago. Vahid Halilhodzic's team join Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria into the Brazil finals. Elsewhere, France, Portugal, Croatia and Greece have all qualified for the World Cup with playoff wins.
