Hossam Hassan's Jordan have virtually lost any hope of qualifying for the World Cup with a thumping 5-0 home loss to Uruguay in the playoffs.
Playing at home in the first leg, the Jordanians were overwhelmed by a star-studded Uruguay side in Amman.
Goals by Maxi Pereira, Cristian Stuani, Nicolas Lodeiro and Cristian Rodriguez and Edinson Cavani were enough to ensure Uruguay will be the side playing in Brazil next year.
The second leg takes place in Montevideo next Wednesday.
