Jordan manager Hossam Hassan will 'fight the impossible' to book a berth in the World Cup finals ahead of the intercontinental qualifying playoff first leg with Uruguay on November 13. Hassan, who took the helm of Jordan back in June, became just one step away from the Brazil finals after overcoming Uzbekistan on penalties last month to secure a place in the decisive playoffs. He is now facing an arduous mission against a star-studded Uruguay side, including the likes of Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani. "We will fight the impossible against Uruguay. I have big hopes of qualifying for the World Cup," Hassan said following a 1-0 friendly win over Nigeria. "We played well against Nigeria, the win was so important for us to boost our morale ahead of the Uruguay match." Egypt's all-time leading goalscorer Hassan, who was part of the squad that last made it to the World Cup 23 years ago, will lead Jordan in the second leg in Uruguay on November 20.
