The Egyptian Football Association insists that security will not be an issue when the Pharaohs host Ghana in the World Cup qualifying playoff return leg next month. Following a request by Ghana to move the November 19 match outside Egypt, the FA issued a statement on its website directed to FIFA's General Secretary Jerome Valcke. "We would like to assure you that all the rumors spread by foreign media about turbulence in Egypt is totally untrue," part of the FA letter read. "During the recent period, life has been normal and everything is stable across Egypt. Any incident taking place currently is considered an individual act that could happen anywhere. "As for the Egypt vs. Ghana match, the venue chosen was the Air Defense Stadium, which is a remote military facility that is fully secured. "There is an agreement with the Ministry of Interior to provide full security for the visiting team Ghana from the moment they enter Egyptian soil until they return home safely." Egypt will play the first leg in Kumasi on Tuesday as it remains to be seen whether fans will be allowed to watch the return game from the stands.
