Ahli's Champions League semi-final against Coton Sport has been cancelled after 55 minutes due to heavy rain. As the result was tied at 0-0, the game was stopped by referee Jan Sikazwe in the second half due to heavy rainstorm. The Zambian referee was eventually forced to call off the game as the pitch condition was too soaked to resume play. The game is now set to take place the following day at the same venue in Garoua at 15:00 CLT as it remains to be seen whether the whole game will be repeated or just the second half. Ahli chances Ahli were the better side in the first half and could have taken the lead on the hour mark through a point-blank header from veteran Mohamed Abou-Treika. Abdullah Al-Saied had a chance to score a vital away goal but saw another certain header superbly tipped by the keeper just six minutes later. The second half got underway and the visitors remained the dangerous side as Treika squandered another close chance following Shehab Ahmed's drive from long range. The unexpected rainstorm, however, forced a lengthy suspension of the game as it was eventually called off by officials.
