Ahli are on course towards achieving their sixth CAF Champions League title as the Red Devils are holding Coton Sport of Cameroon to a 1-1 draw in Garoua. The hosts started the game attempting to score an early goal, which will bring them back in the tie after their 2-0 first leg defeat in Cairo. In the second minute Amir Abdul-Hamid was called into action, as the keeper bravely punched away a right flank cross before Coton striker Ousmalia Baba reached the ball. Abdul-Hamid denied Coton once again after saving Lassina Abdoul-Karim's long range effort after 21 minutes. The home side had their best chance of the half when Baba was found totally unguarded at Ahli's far post from Abdoul-Karim's corner, but the striker headed high. On 38 minutes, Ahli put one hand on the Champions League trophy, thanks to an Ahmed Hassan strike. Hassan was found in the box by a Mohamed Abou-Treika left cross, before the Egypt skipper cleverly volleyed his effort past Kassaly Daouda in the Coton goal. Just right before the first half whistle, Coton equalized after Daouda Kamilou's low cross was met by a powerful left footed effort from Abdoul-Karim. Being the first team to score against Coton in Garoua in this season's Champions League, Ahli are now leading the final 3-1 on aggregate.
