Veteran goalkeeper Richard Kingson could make his Ghana comeback in next month's World Cup qualifying playoff against Egypt. Kingson, 35, has not played international football for over two years after struggling to find a club following his release by Blackpool. However, the long-serving goalie has now returned to club football with Cyprus' Doxa Katokopias and it seems he is fighting to regain his place at the expense of Fatau Dauda. "If he is now playing, it means that there is every opportunity for him to comeback provided he is playing and playing well," Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told Accra-based Joy FM. "For such a veteran goalkeeper, I believe if he is indeed playing well and we will get the chance to come back into the team, it will be a big boost to the team's chances of qualifying to the World Cup. "With Richard Kingson, you can go and sleep. If he is in good form, he is the safest pair of hands in the country." Kingson, who has 90 international caps, was Ghana's number one at the 2006 and 2010 World Cup finals.
