Ahli have made another bid to move their next Champions League fixture away from Gouna Stadium. For the third time, the Reds called on authorities to stage the upcoming match against Zamalek at either Cairo's Air Defense Stadium or the Army Stadium in Alexandria. Following fans' riots prior to the kick-off of the recent 2-1 win over Congo's Leopards, Gouna Stadium officials said they refuse to host anymore games for either Ahli or Zamalek. "We are hopeful to move the game against Zamalek to either the Air Defense or Alexandria's Army Stadium," Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told FilGoal.com. "If not, security officials will have to choose a suitable venue for the game." Ahli, who played out a 1-1 stalemate at Zamalek in Gouna back in July, will host the Whites on September 15 in a crucial match for both teams. The 12,000-seater Gouna Stadium was set by authorities ahead of the Champions League group stage campaign to host the Cairo duo's African games due to the ongoing political turbulence. Reigning African champions Ahli are currently second of Group A on seven points, three ahead of arch-rivals Zamalek who lie bottom of the group.
