Egypt forward Geddo was forced off with an injury as Hull City moved to second in the Championship with a 1-0 win at Burnley. Geddo, who retained his place in Hull's starting eleven alongside compatriot Ahmed Elmohamady, limped off in the 64th minute to be replaced by Jay Simpson. Geddo's injury appeared to be a thigh strain as Egypt will be hopeful to have him fit for the March 26 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe. It was Simpson though who created the only goal of the game just one minute after replacing Geddo, setting up Irish midfielder Stephen Quinn. Egypt defender Ahmed Fathi remained as an unused sub despite playing more than 20 minutes in last week's 4-2 defeat at Crystal Palace. The victory took Hull to second place on 68 points, three adrift of leaders Cardiff, who host Leicester City on Tuesday.
