Mubarak meets Turkish army chief

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Saturday meets Turkish Chief of General Staff General Ilker Basbug, who is on a formal visit to Egypt, at the presidential palace in Cairo.
Following his meeting with Mubarak, Basbug was welcomed by Egypt's Defence Minister Hussein Tantawi with an honors ceremony. Their meeting was also closed to press.
Later in the day, Basbug will visit the Unknown Soldier Memorial, tomb of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and the Turkish cemetery in Cairo.
