Many people's dreams are waiting to be fulfilled, but the economy has been in a critical condition since the Mubarak regime was toppled. Most Egyptians are not able to wait any longer and expect the next government and president to meet their demands. The reality of their daily plight is far removed from the politicians, who have a tendency to ignore ordinary citizens and concentrate on other issues. These politicians should remember all these people suffering from abject poverty; they should go and see the rubbish mountains in the streets, shantytowns and under bridges. This deplorable situation needs to end. The poor services and low standards of living should no longer be ignored. More and more people in Egyptian society are facing poverty; there is more chaos as a result of lawlessness, complex political conditions and the absence of a clear vision. The majority of Egyptians have but one question: When will everything go back to normal? It is high time that the transitional period is coming to an end and stability gets restored.
