CAIRO – The Military Prosecution has detained 28 Muslims and Christians, suspected of being involved in the Maspero incidents on Sunday night that left 25 people dead and more than 300 injured, for 15 days pending further investigations, the official Middle East News Agency reports. The Prosecution started its investigations on Monday, with a senior official saying that it is investigating civilians suspected of sabotage, attacking soldiers and torching their property. On Monday, the Prosecution visited Maspero to assess the damage. Some governmental buildings, privately owned cars and military vehicles were damaged in the violence.
