CAIRO – The trial of Egyptian ex-interior minister Habib el-Adli and his six deputies was adjourned on Thursday to August 14, the official Middle East News Agency reports. Adli, who has already been sentenced to 12 years in a graft case, is facing charges of ordering police to kill protesters during a peaceful resolution that toppled Mubarak. The court on Wednesday opened the seals on the boxes that contain weapons, CDs, videotapes, cassette tapes and documents. This evidence will be checked next week. The trial in the same case of Mubarak, his two sons and fugitive businessman Hussein Salem has also been adjourned to August 15. More than 800 people were killed and more than 1,000 injured in the revolution.
