The Doctors' Association holds a general assembly meeting on Friday to discuss escalatory moves against the Government, which they accuse of ignoring pay rise and better work condition demands. "The meeting will discuss the effectiveness of the two partial strike we organized during May. We will also consider no escalatory moves like holding sit-ins inside branch associations and submitting group resignations," said Mona Mina, a coordinator for Doctors' Without Rights group. Mina added that doctors would march to Al Tahrir Square after the meeting to stress their demands were not met and that they would struggle to achieve them. Doctors demands include dismissing minister of health, raising the budget for medical care in Egypt to 15 per cent from 3.5 per cent of the state budget as well as raising their salaries.
