CAIRO - Egyptian security forces seized a secret arms cache in a desert area in Sheikh Zwayyid city, 10kms from the border with the Gaza Strip, Egyptian security sources said Sunday. An Egyptian security force stormed the Al-Shallaq neighbourhood in Sheikh Zwayyid after receiving a tip about smugglers planning to move weapons and explosives into Gaza through tunnels, the sources were quoted by the German Press Agency (DPA). Police found the weapons inside a deep ditch in the ground. The cache included 14 cannon cartridges, 11 grenades, and old ordnance, seemingly collected to use their gunpowder, they said.
