CAIRO, Sept 15, 2018 (MENA) – Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Saturday underscored the importance of following up President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to governors during the president's meeting with them after the swearing-in ceremony. Madbouli made the remarks as he chaired the first meeting of the governors council. He noted that Sisi's directives included the importance of exerting the utmost efforts to serve citizens and meet their demands of commodities and services. The president's meeting with governors also touched on the importance of having contact with people, listening to their problems and working to solve them, the premier said. Sisi also directed the governors to develop governorates and enhance their resources via making use of each governorate's competitive features in a way that provides job opportunities for the youth and improves the people's living standards, he added. The directives also included working to develop the employees' skills, while establishing principles of accountability, discipline and commitment, and working to combat corruption, he noted.
