TASHKENT, Sept 5 , 2018(MENA) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev the economic reform experiences in the two countries and the major national projects recently implemented by Egypt. At a joint press conference, Sisi noted that he discussed with President Mirziyoyev cooperation in the domains of energy and auto manufacturing along with tourism and culture. He added that the two sides underlined the necessity of promoting economic relations to be up to the level of political relations between the two countries. The meeting also took up means of fighting terrorism and extremism, added President Sisi. President Sisi extended an invitation to his Uzbek counterpart to visit Cairo to resume their talks. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, meanwhile, said that Egypt is a great State with which Uzbekistan has excellent relations. He added that the current visit of the Egyptian president will achieve great results for partnership between the two countries. Today a new phase of cooperation between the two countries will start, said the Uzbek president, adding that the two sides have signed cooperation agreements to the value of $400 million.
