CAIRO, May 14, 2018 (MENA) - Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed el Assar met on Monday Head of the Afro-Asian Economic Council (AAEC) Tareq Ebeid at the ministry premises. During the meeting, Assar said military production has started to restore its role in light of the economic and development progress Egypt is currently witnessing, with special focus on upgrading the infrastructure and creating a new investment-freindly climate to attract foreign investments. Ebeid invited Assar to take part in the First Economic Conference on Silk City and the Five Islands to be held in Kuwait in March 2019. He said more than 3,000 companies are taking part in the conference, adding that the second round of the conference will be held in Egypt in 2020. He also praised the recent economic measures taken by Egypt to bring in new investments in the various sectors. At the end of the meeting, Assar presented the shield of the Military Production to AAEC chief to honour him.
