Egypt agrees on deal with Russia to upgrade military production

Minister of state for military production, Mohamed El Asar revealed Tuesday on sidelines of a joint press conference with Russian industry minister that Egypt agreed on a deal with Russia for upgrading military production and defense industries.
El Asar said that the coming period will witness an enhancement to the cooperation and strategic partnership with the Russian side in the field of military modernization, Al Masry Al Youm News reported.
He pointed out that the cooperation will include the developing of production lines in the civil and military industries, stressing that the meeting dealt with the general framework for future cooperation with the Russian side.
