CAIRO, May 9, 2018 - Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Wednesday wrapped up a two-day official visit to Egypt during which he held summit talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi that focused on the furtherance of co-operation and political consultation. During their talks, the two leaders placed emphasis on the importance of energising the Egyptian-Ugandan relations in all domains and called for new ways of increasing the volume of trade and economic co-operation between the two countries. During the talks, Presidents Sisi and Museveni noted that Egypt and Uganda were as much tied together by the same set of developmental and economic aspirations. The two leaders discussed the latest developments in South Sudan, Libya and Central and East Africa. They also discussed the risks of terrorism and the continuous threat posed by terrorism and extremism to Africa.
