Cairo - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed on Sunday in a phone call with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni preparations for a summit of Nile Basin countries in Uganda. Sisi asserted Egypt's appreciation of the historical relations binding both countries. The two sides also took up means of promoting joint cooperation in several fields. Sisi expressed Egypt's keenness on intensifying cooperation with Uganda during the coming stage regarding regional issues of mutual interest, lauding the role of the Ugandan president in promoting solidarity with other African countries. Meanwhile, the Ugandan president asserted his country's keenness on boosting ties with Egypt in the different domains.
