Egypt appointed regional director of WAIPA

CAIRO, April 10, 2018 - Egypt, as represented by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) was on Tuesday selected to the post of regional director of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), according to a senior GAFI official.
Mona Zoba'a, the Executive Director of GAFI, said that the selection was announced at the 8th Annual Investment Meeting, convened from April 9-11, which she attended.
She added that GAFI was taking up the post after a 12-year absence.
Established in 1995 by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, WAIPA is an international non-governmental organisation that acts as a forum for investment promotion agencies.
It provides networking opportunities and promotes best practice in investment promotion.
