Egypt slams Israel for use of force against Palestinians

CAIRO, April 7, 2018 - Egypt condemns the Israeli authorities' continuous use of excessive force and violence against the unarmed Palestinian civilians who have been staging peaceful demonstrations for the second consecutive week in the occupied territories, a Foreign Ministry statement said on Saturday.
Egypt rejects the use of force and the killing of civilians who are participating in peaceful rallies to demand legitimate and just rights for the brotherly Palestinian people, the Ministry statement said.
Egypt calls on the international community to seriously work on restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people on top of which is the right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital in addition to the other rights that have been approved by international resolutions, it added.
