CAIRO, March 16, 2018 - Means of boosting economic and trade co-operation were at the centre of discussions between Egyptians Minister of the Public Enterprise Sector, Khaled Badawi, and Greek Ambassador in Cairo, Michael - Christos Diamessis, on Friday. The Badawi-Diamessis talks focused on cooperation between Greek companies and the companies that are affiliated to the Public Enterprise Sector Ministry. Badawi underscored strong relations between Egypt and Greece and Egypt's keenness on bolstering these relations even more in the future, an official statement said. It added that the minister also highlighted cultural and historical ties between the two countries which have two of the oldest civilisations in the world. Badawi, the statement said, told the Greek ambassador that he would welcome any suggestions that could contribute to increasing co-operation with the Greek side. The Greek ambassador, for his part, welcomed co-operation between Greek companies and the Ministry's companies in the light of the strong ties binding Egypt and Greece. Discussions during the meeting also dwelt on available investment opportunities in Egypt especially in the paper industry.
