Cairo - Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr had a meeting on Thursday with Greek Ambassador to Egypt, Michael Christos Diamessis. They discussed means of increasing Greece's investments in Egypt especially after the House of Representatives have passed the new investment law. Nasr praised historic relations between Egypt and Greece in all fields, stressing that the ministry gives priority to overcome obstacles facing investors. She further hoped that Greece would become one of the biggest 20 investors in Egypt, noting that her ministry is currently preparing a map on investment opportunities and mega national project in Egypt. Diamessis, on his part, praised the Egyptian economic reform program, pointing out that the Egyptian market is currently full of promising investment opportunities. A Greek delegation of 17 companies had visited Egypt recently to discuss investment opportunities here, the ambassador said. He further expressed Greece's readiness to cooperate with Egypt in the fields of infrastructure and energy.
