CAIRO, March 3, 2018 - Egypt's Public Prosecutor Nabil Sadek ordered an investigation Saturday into an assault on an Egyptian student in the United Kingdom last week. Sadek ordered the prosecution's International Cooperation Office to prepare a report about an assault on Egyptian citizen Mariam Abdel Salam and send it to judicial bodies concerned in the United Kingdom. British judicial authorities, he said, need to send copies of their investigations as well as copies of medical examination be sent to Egypt as soon possible. Ms. Abdel Salam, who lives in Nottingham, was mercilessly assaulted by a group of women and consequently entered into a coma.
