Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has followed up on some development projects in Giza governorate.
This came during a meeting between Madbouly and Governor of Giza Ahmed Rashid on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Rashid discussed the position of a number of road axes projects that are being implemented within the scope of Giza Governorate, including the July 26 Corridor project, which includes expansion and upgrading works in the distance from the intersection of the Corridor with the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road to the Hundred Bank, then an alternative axis passing through the centers of Kerdasa, Osim, the North Giza neighborhood and Agouza, up to the Nile Corniche, with a length of 20 km.
The governor touched on the position of the Nahia Drain axis project, which includes the implementation of works to cover the Abdel-Al Canal with a length of 5 km, diverting the water path of the Nahia Drain to it, as well as the establishment of an alternative axis after filling the drain, where 4 km was covered. cables", and the vertical road starting from the 26th of July axis to Al-Manshia Road, as well as the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer, the axis of Amr Ibn Al-Aas, the expansions of the Ring Road, and the removal of properties that are inconsistent with the implementation of these axes.
The Governor of Giza reviewed models of some of the main roads that were developed in the governorate, including the Mariouteya Road, the western and eastern mainland, Abu Nomros, the Mariouteya Road, starting from Al-Haram Street to the Companions Bridge, and the Mansourieh Road, starting from Kafr Ghataty to the White Road.
The governor confirmed that there is permanent coordination with the ministries and agencies implementing these axes, with the aim of facilitating procedures and accelerating the pace of business, to serve the citizens and visitors of the governorate.
He referred to the newly implemented and under-implemented car parking spaces, as well as the service parking lots, at the governorate level.
Rashid noted, during the meeting, the position of completing the development work of the area surrounding the Grand Egyptian Museum, and what it includes of developing the Mansourieh axis in the Kerdasa area, in the distance from the Pyramid Rings to the July 26 axis, with a length of 8 km, so that the width of the axis after the completion of the development work becomes 35 meters. And the real estate removals that have been done to expand the axis, in addition to reviewing the proposed works to develop the axes surrounding the museum.
