Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said in a statement on Sunday that the funds and accounts of the governorates were supported by EGP 2bn in FY2021/22 to pay the salaries of employees on time, adding that the amount allocated in the last quarter (4Q) reached EGP 439.5m.
He explained that the Ministry of Finance is following up on the monthly salary payment of these employees to identify their needs based on recent financial increases, taking into account the social aspect to help them maintain familial and social stability in light of the current circumstances.
Furthermore, a statement by the ministry stated that the government agreed to some new benefits to improve the working conditions of employees in a manner that lays the foundations for a work environment that stimulates innovation, contributes to enhancing efficiency, and improving the quality of the services provided to citizens.
Moreover, their right to a promotion was preserved to achieve job and social stability for them.
The statement also indicated that it is permissible to include the period of practical and scientific experience of these employees before the Civil Service Law comes into force in light of what the Central Organisation for Organisation and Administration concluded and the opinion of the State Council's General Assembly of Legal Opinion and Legislation Departments.
