1.3m citizens receive health awareness sessions, medical services last week in Upper Egypt
The Health Ministry organised an awareness week in Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, and Aswan

Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population announced on Monday that 1.3m citizens in the governorates of Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, and Aswan received health awareness sessions and medical treatment services for free during a health awareness week organised by the ministry last week.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the health awareness week in the governorates of Upper Egypt included launching medical convoys and mobile clinics for medical examination and providing treatment for free as part of the '100 Million Health Presidential Initiative.'
It also included mobile clinics that administered coronavirus vaccines, in addition to community outreach teams visiting villages with the aim of providing hard to reach citizens with medical services.
The medical convoys included several specialities, including internal medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, children, dentistry, urology, dermatology, nose and ear, and chest.
Abdel Ghaffar also referred to the provision of teams of medical staff to organise visits to citizens with special needs in their places of residence to register them on the vaccination website of the Health Ministry and vaccinating them, in addition to holding 150 educational seminars for citizens with the aim of providing free health education services.
