Qatari royal member calls for a meeting amid Emir's visit to US
Al-Thani believes that the current policy of Qatar may lead to chaos and devastation

The Qatari Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani, a member of the Royal family called on the wise people of the Qatari royal family and the people for an urgent meeting to discuss the gulf crisis, in a statement on Sunday.
"I feel sorry because the situation goes bad to worse, reaching the direct incitement on the stability of the Arab Gulf, and intervening in the internal affairs of the others," according to the statement.
Al-Thani believes that the current policy of Qatar may lead to chaos and devastation.
He added that he is optimistic, and when he met with the Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, [He] found that the king keens on the safety of Qatar and its people. Al-Thani called on who agrees the statement to communicate with him by the e-mail to make an appointment for the meeting.
On 5 June, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, cut their diplomatic and travel ties with Qatar. The four governments accused the oil-rich country of supporting terrorism, supporting Iran, and disturbing security and stability in the region, charges that Doha denies.
The first public appearance of Al-Thani since the beginning of the gulf crisis was during the pilgrimage season, when the Saudi media announced that the [Saudi] kingdom will facilitate the procedures of Qatari pilgrims after the mediation of Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani, who met with the Saudi king days before the start of pilgrimage.
Al-Thani said that his call was welcomed by a number of the royal family members such as Sheikh Mubarak bin Khalifa bin Saoud Al-Thani.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani is one of the elders on the Qatari royal family, his grandfather was the third Emir of Qatar [Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani] and his father was the fourth Emir, and his brother was the fifth Emir. Al-Thani lives in London and he is married to a Saudi woman.
The call comes amid the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani visit to the US to attend the UN General Assembly.
