Published in Daily News Egypt on 05 - 02 - 2017

Minister of Investment Dalia Khorshid opened a new one-stop shop for investment services in Sohag on Sunday with the presence of the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, and Sohag governor Ayman Abdel Moneim.
The one-stop shop will serve all investment companies in Sohag and neighbouring cities Qena, Luxor, and Aswan.
"It will offer company establishment services, legal services, technical services, and government services," Khorshid said in a press release on Sunday.
Khorshid stated that the development of Upper Egypt is one of the government's priorities.
She confirmed that the ministry is working on opening branches for one-stop shops in all cities, especially in Upper Egypt.
El-Molla stated that the government is trying to attract investors to Upper Egyptian cities. They are also working on simplifying the process for investors as well as the execution of new projects which will improve the citizens' standard of living.
Khorshid commended cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to support and encourage investment projects in Upper Egypt by offering them special incentives and motivations, as well as a speedy process of issuing temporary importing permits in order to expand products and create more jobs.
Khorshid concluded by announcing the new investment law by the State Council that divides the cities into two areas: A and B.
Each area has its own development goals and plans to create more jobs, take advantage of natural resources, and create products to export.
