CAIRO: Zamalek completed their fourth signing of the upcoming season after signing defender Amir Azmi on a free transfer, the Egyptian Cup winners announced late on Tuesday. Azmi has put pen-to-paper on a four year deal, Zamalek treasurer Yehia Helmi told the club s official website. The player agreed to join us without even discussing any financial details because he was very happy to return to his club. Azmi returns to Zamalek after ending a four-year spell in European and Asian leagues. He played for Greek side PAOK Saloniki, Saudi Arabia s Al-Shabab and Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta. The 25-year-old contributed to Anorthosis Cypriot League triumph. He left after his contract with the club ended. Azmi is Zamalek s fourth signing in the close season following the arrival of Arab Contractors duo Alaa Kamal and Mahmoud Samir as well as Trabzonspor s Ayman Abdel Aziz.
