Defender Amir Azmi signed a three-year deal with Zamalek on a free transfer starting next season. The White Knights prodigy told FilGoal.com the he penned the contract with Zamalek on Sunday. Azmi added that coach Michel Decastel was impressed with his performances during the past period, where he was training at the club. The 26-year-old was maintaining his fitness by training with Zamalek after he ended his contract with AEK Larnaca in the Cypriot league. The deal marks Azmi's return to the Egyptian Premier League after spells with PAOK FC in Greece, Turkish club Hacettepe Spor and Shabab in the Saudi league. Azmi nearly rejoined Zamalek last summer, but the move was halted after his father Azmi Megahed lost a place in the club board. Watch Azmi on his European travels
