Painter finds man under his bed, tries to kill him
Published in Daily News Egypt on 09 - 05 - 2008

CAIRO: A painter returned to his home in Al-Amiriya and unexpectedly found his wife confused.
She justified her confusion by saying she has not yet prepared food. After asking her to go out to buy some food he went to his bedroom to relax, only to find an almost naked man under the bed. They fought each other and the strange man was stabbed in the back.
The injured man was admitted to Al-Matariya Hospital under security.
In the police report, the husband accused his wife of having sexual intercourse with the injured man. The prosecution office was informed of the incident and an investigation is underway.
Painter Wael, 27, habitually returns to his home in St. Abu-Hashish, Al-Amiriya, late at night, leaving his wife Sally, 20, alone. They have been married for just a few months.
That day, the husband felt exhausted and decided to return home earlier. He knocked on the door after he had failed to open it with his own keys because it was bolted from inside. The wife was apparently confused when she opened the door, justifying that she has not prepared food yet and was afraid that he might be angry.
Assistant Interior Minister for Cairo Investigation Department Maj. Gen.
Ahmed Abdel-Jawwad was informed of the incident and Investigation Inspector Col. Adel Al-Tunsi moved to the scene of the incident.
The injured Mohamed, 35, turned out to be from Shobra Al-Khaima and he was admitted to hospital under security.
In police note no. 2636, Al-Amiriya misdemeanors, the painter confessed the details and accused his wife of having adultery with the injured man.
The wife was summoned and questioned by the police but denied the crime of fornication, saying that only her husband was at home when she left.
The prosecution office was informed of the incident and an investigation is underway.
