The death toll in Sinai since 30 June has reached 30 dead, 20 of whom were security personnel and 10 civilians, according to Tarek Khater, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sinai. Two Palestinians were arrested near the old state security building in Al-Arish, according to a report by state-news agency MENA. Nasser Al-Azzazy, the Daily News Egypt correspondent in Sinai said they were arrested after authorities found pictures of snipers and heavy weapons on their mobile phones. Gunmen also attacked an army vehicle that was taking water from the main reservoir in Al-Arish and a conscript suffered minor injuries during the attack, reported MENA.
