SANA'A: Turkish ambassador to Yemen, Fazli Korman announced ahead of the Friends of Yemen Conference that his country would wave all visas for Yemeni nationals intending to visit Turkey. The decision, which has yet to be approved by the parliament, was postponed by last year's uprising. The ambassador stressed that Turkey was keen in furthering its ties with Yemen, especially since both nations shared not only a common history but strong social and cultural links. Turkey, who on many occasions offered its support to Yemen in its time of need, reiterated its promise of financial help. The ambassador, who spoke at a press conference organized by Turkish Airlines, also said that Turkey and Yemen trade agreements would continue to grow, noting that last year's achievements had generated $300 million.
